FINDING YOUR WHY

We all desire to live a very good life. A comfortable and an interesting life is what we all desire. Most people term good life as a life filled with wealth, children, family, enjoyment etc. But that's not what a good life is. Those things are just additional things not the main thing. So what exactly is a good life? A good life is a Purposeful and a Fulfilling life. To live a good life isn't just about being purposeful but also Fulfilling.

There's a reason why you were created. You weren't just an accident or a product of biological entanglement. You were made for a reason. There's a purpose tied to your making. God created you with a purpose in mind. You finding this purpose is what what gives you a purposeful life. You walking in that purpose based on the way God has planned it is what will make you to live a fulfilled life. Let me give an example for proper understanding. Probably God's purpose for your life is to be a teacher. You know that. But the way he planned it is that you are to focus on high school students. Building them up academically and also Making them see the essence of God in their lives. But you decided to go into lecturing. You became a lecturer in a university. Do you know that you are living a purposeful life but it will not lead to fulfilment. You are doing what you've been destined for but in the place that is not destined for you. So it can never lead to fulfilment. What will make you to live a fulfilled life is when you walk in your purpose the way God wants it. Not the way you want it or the way the society, your friends, family or neighbors want it. That's why journeying with God is a personal thing.

If a Fulfilling life is a degree of success or certain standard of living, why have those that achieved this still unhappy? If a Fulfilling life is wealth, properties, great job etc, why then are they still unhappy? It points to me that there's something greater than all this things. The truth is that when you are not walking in purpose, there will be a kind of emptiness in your life. You will always feel that void.

Fulfilling life is not in outward thing. It's an inward thing. Finding your why will fill up that emptiness you are feeling. Find your why! You are not created to do everything in the world. You are created for something. You are created for a cause. Trying to do everything is like expanding the emptiness in you. Find you why!

Now that I know that I have to find my why, how then can I find it? Well, it is simple. A manufacturer knows the capacity and purpose of what he created. God created you. He knows everything about you. So for you to know your why, go back to God and ask. This is where we make mistakes. Some of us, once we hear something from him, we don't bother to ask how you should go about it. You just start running with it without knowing the way he wants it. The way God reveals your why to you is by simple instructions. It takes obedience for you to now walk in it. God might just instruct you to start studying about finance. Or he can bring people into your life to teach you certain things. Obedience is the key to walking in your why! When you begin to obey his instructions, you start to notice that you are developing interest in a particular field of influence. Before you know it, you start to gain mastery over it. Then boom! You start to teach others in that direction. That's how it is. Your obedience to his words is what makes your path to get clearer. The more you obey the more you see, the better you become and the more Fulfilling your life will be. The Bible says in Psalms 109:115

“Thy word is a lamp into my feet, and a light unto my path”

This is to show us that what makes your path to be visible to you is his word. His word is a lamp. His word is a light. You can't walk in this dark world without light. You need to see! Your seeing is a function of the word. God won't supply strength and grace for something you are not meant to do. That's why many of us are fustrated. We get lost sometimes all because we are trying to do and get what is not ours.

I want you to think and ask your self this questions;

1) do I know my why?

2) what am I created for?

3) am I working according to God's plans for me?

4) what are the instructions God gave me that I failed to obey?

If you answered this question with all sincerity of your heart then I can boldly say you've gotten it right. Obey those instructions. Those are the pointers to your purpose in order to be fulfilled.

God bless you!
