THE ME IN HIS MIND

 Earlier in my life, I've always wondered who am I in the mind of God? What kind of Me is in his mind? The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you an expected end”. What is the expected end of me that is in the mind of God? Later I did realise that this is a question of purpose. 

Every human on earth has a God based definition. When we are asked this question; who are you? We define ourselves based on the knowledge and the abilities we have in ourselves and not in God. We define ourselves based on our capacities and capabilities but not through the mind of God. How will I know who am I in God's mind? How will I know the expected end of me in the mind of God. I want you to know that no one is ever created for destruction. Man is destroyed based on the choice he makes. The thought of God towards you is peace. This is to show that your future is perfectly secured in him. In his thoughts are peace. God's thoughts are not evil. If you walk according to his plans and purpose, you will come to a conclusion that God is peace. He will never put you in a position that will destroy you. God loves you so much and that's why he wants you to come to him. Your life is secured in him. Do you know that one of the wonders of the world is YOU! 

Most of us are far from who God thought us as. We do things based on our own rational thinking pattern. The truth is that God doesn't work with human senses. He doesn't work with human calculations. Have you ever thought about something in a particular way and when God starts to work, he just come up with a different route and you be like OMG! I never saw that coming. This is to show us that the ways of God are totally different from the ways of man. When you understand this, you will learn how to give all of you to God and take instructions from him. 

God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5, saying “ Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the Nations”. In this scripture, we could see that before our creation, we already existed. We existed in the mind of God. Just like the way you think about an idea before you start working on it. The idea is like a prototype of what you want to do. The you in his mind is a prototype of what he wants to see. He gave you the potentials to do what he has thought about you even before you came out of the womb. He has giving you the power to be everything in his mind but the problem is this “self thoughts”, self actions, desires etc. 

For you to be the you in the mind of God, you have to first understand that your abilities are in God. You don't have the strength of your own. Right from the beginning, man has no strength to move around. It took the breath of God to make man a living soul. God had to breathe life into that body to give it strength. So you have no strength of your own. We all live by the strength provided to us by God.  You have to find out the thoughts of God about you. Most people have asked God so many times but they are still not getting the answer. The reason is that you are not zeroing your thoughts in the presence of God. You are already doing the calculations yourself and God won't say anything until you totally shut your thoughts down to hear what he is saying. Go to God with a contrite spirit. With the faith and hope that you will get a response from him. God wants us to always come to him daily as a son going to his father. God wants to dialogue with us daily but because of our search for “self purpose”, we neglect God and only come back to him when we are having issues. Zero your thoughts so that you can hear from God. Listen, God may not speak to you with an audible voice. He can start dropping ideas into your mind. It can be through the words of others or even through dreams and visions. The evidence that what is spoken to you is what God has in mind for you is that it will give you peace of mind. It may be a very big task but you will feel that peace when you start working it out because the thoughts of God towards us is peace and not evil. The sweetest thing in walking according to the purpose outlined to us by God is that even in the storms, he is always there. Sometimes he will take you through difficult situations so that you can be stronger in him. God isn't evil. He will never take you through something that he knows you can't survive. He is always there at every junction and every cross crossroads of life. Make a choice today to stick with God with your utmost Sincerity. Knowing fully well that you can't survive the wickedness of the world without him. Rely on him. Draw nearer to him and he will give you his rest. He will always give you his shoulders to lean on when you are down. He will always replace your bruise with beauty. He will shut out the power of darkness over your life. 

You noticed that recently your relationship with God has gone down. You want to correct it but you find it hard to do. I would like to tell you that your strength can't help you fix it. Your thoughts can't help you fix it. You need a greater strength and that's God. Do you know that God feels what you feel but he wants you to come to him. He draws you daily to himself but because of guilt you are refusing the pull. Why not go back to God today and tell him “Father I'm sorry. I've always tried to please you but I end up doing the opposite. Please help me. Strengthen me Lord. I want to love you daily. I want to commune with you daily. Please help me. Give me the hunger to stay and abide in you daily. Help me Lord that I may be useful for your Glory and honor. Amen ”. If you've said all this, I know you feel calm now. Don't try to use your thinking to solve things. God's strength is available for you. Remember, his strength is made perfect in your weaknesses. You are blessed in Jesus name. Amen!
